Working in home care is varied and autonomous. The main duties for a practical nurse include medication administration, hygiene care, ensuring meals, applying and removing support stockings, and wound care if needed. The role emphasises strong communication, responsibility and teamwork. In addition to your own team, support is provided by the home care supervisors, therapists and the home care doctor. We use Life Care for patient records and RAI for functional capacity assessment. You will work with modern technology, including Evondos and Axitare medication dispensers, LifeCare patient records, and LifeCare planning tools. Location: Tapiolan kotihoito, Niittyportti 4, 02200 Espoo. Working hours: shift work totaling 114 h 45 min per 3 weeks. The position is permanent. Preconditions: to hold the protected professional title of Lähihoitaja; valid driver’s license; fluent Finnish, both spoken and written; experience with elderly care and home care; valid medication licenses or completion of medical exams before employment (employer provides exam materials and tests at start). The job requires vaccination protection under the Communicable Diseases Act and TB screening as per the Act. From 1 Jan 2024, selected candidates must provide a police background check as required by law. Random drug testing is requested per the regional health authority’s program.
