We are seeking a precise and skilled precision mechanic for Grundium Oy in Tampere for a full-time position. The role involves assembling microscopes used in medicine, calibrating devices, and ensuring operational compliance through functional testing. The work requires accuracy and suits someone who enjoys technical equipment and wants to see tangible results from their work. Your day-to-day will include precision mechanical assembly of microscope scanners, calibration and functional testing of devices, using tools, work instructions, and technical documentation, and collaborating with production, product development, and logistics. If you have Linux, Python, or PLC skills, you may also take on tasks that leverage these abilities. To succeed, you should be highly focused, precise, and thorough; have good manual dexterity and the ability to use common hand tools; have an interest in the assembly and operation of technical equipment; possess teamwork and communication skills; have basic IT skills; and Finnish language ability with the ability to use and read English instructions and documentation. We welcome both experienced precision mechanics and less-experienced candidates with technical training or other practical backgrounds. Prior experience is not mandatory as we will provide training. Desirable: experience with precision assembly, education or work experience in precision mechanics, electronics, robotics or automation, ability to read technical drawings and documentation, and Linux, Python, or PLC skills.
