Lead C++ Software Engineer (Gameplay) at Playrix. The Lead Software Engineer is the driver of the technical development of a product who leads and develops the team in terms of architecture, quality, development culture, and engineering practices. In this role you will oversee areas including: feature development for events and mini-games, technical optimization and stability, and work on the core game meta and graphics systems. Responsibilities include people management (hiring/firing, team evaluation), developing team processes, producing architectural solutions, ensuring rapid implementation, supervising stability and quality of game software, code and design reviews, and programming/refactoring game logic. Tech stack includes C++, Lua, Python; graphics with OpenGL ES and Metal; working with an in-house engine and CI/CD pipelines; AI assistants integration. Requirements include at least 3 years of commercial C++ development and/or Unity experience, production-ready projects, and at least one year of team leadership (3+ programmers). Preference given to modern C++14/17, experience with Unity/Unreal/Godot/Cocos2D/Defold, and mobile casual game experience, plus familiarity with AI tooling (Cursor, Copilot).
