We are looking for a full-time Enterprise Architect to drive the architecture for our Digital services, in close collaboration with business and technology counterparts. Nordea is a place where traditions meet tomorrow. We're not just a bank, we're a tech employer on a mission to evolve finance securely and responsibly. Together, we impact millions of people’s daily lives by ensuring they can access our solutions anytime, anywhere, while safeguarding their personal data and wealth. Join us in making an impact on the banking industry. About our team Welcome to Retail, Wealth & Markets Architecture! We are a team of experienced Enterprise Architects, working closely together with stakeholders across the business and technology organization supporting the entire bank across customer segments. We drive strategic architecture work while supporting ongoing execution initiatives with architectural guidance and steering. The Retail Products & Core service area provides services to our Personal Banking organization, including core banking products and capabilities such as deposits, mortgages, consumer finance, as well as the underlying platforms that support them. As enterprise architect, you will drive the target architecture for the area and build the roadmaps to get us there. In parallel to the strategic work, you will act as a sparring partner for ongoing change initiatives, governing the architecture for a large portfolio of business critical applications. You’ll join a team of experienced architects with broad and deep knowledge of the business, the technology and the architecture. The role is based in Finland or Poland. Main responsibilities in this role: - Work with business and technology stakeholders in developing target and transition architectures that will drive our enterprise architecture forward to support the overall business strategy. - Join domain leadership teams with business and technology counterparts. - Build a collaborative space with solution architects & lead developers to ensure that architecture governance is a natural and integral part of the way we build solutions. - Guide and review high level solution designs ensuring alignment with target & transition architectures, strategies, principles and reference architectures. - Provide leadership & guidance to delivery teams and engage as a key sparring partner at multiple levels, including topics on architecture, data modelling, integration patterns, API design, data solutions, governance and more. - Join project steering committees and various governance forums to ensure architectural alignment and direction. Who you are If you're passionate about designing strategic enterprise architectures for banking services and love collaborating with solution architects to solve complex challenges with elegant, implementable solutions, then this is the role for you! To succeed in this role, we believe that you: - Have strong communication and collaboration skills and are able to interact seamlessly with many different parts of the organisation and at all levels. - Master the architectural disciplines and have the ability to take high level business strategies and objectives and transform them to tangible and executable architectures. - Are a team player but also able to work well on your own when required. Your experience and background: - Proven expertise within enterprise architecture and high level solution design. - Ideally strong understanding of the financial sector. - You probably have a Bachelor or a Master in computer science, engineering or similar combined with several years of experience working with architecture disciplines. What we offer Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us. People are driven by many different factors. For some, it’s to take their career to the next level. For others, it’s to break new ground within their area of expertise – in other words, with us, you will always move forward. A culture that fosters performance and growth in one of the largest Nordic banks, offering various opportunities to evolve, develop and learn from brilliant colleagues with diverse backgrounds in a vibrant working environment. Our way of working - We believe in bringing people together and want our offices to remain a cornerstone of the company. Our offices are where we connect, collaborate, learn from one another and build our culture. Therefore, as a principle, we work mostly from the office. Diversity and inclusion are a natural part of our daily work. We know that an inclusive workplace is a sustainable one. We genuinely believe that our diverse backgrounds, experiences, characteristics and traits make us stronger together. Every day we strive to find new ways to improve diversity and inclusion within our community e.g. we have signed the European Diversity Charters in the countries where we operate to show our commitment and engage with others to continue learning and improving. If this sounds like you, get in touch! Next steps Submit your application no later than 06/11/2026. We enable dreams and aspirations for a greater good. We build relationships.
