Head of Payments and Invoicing

A leadership role overseeing the payments and invoicing function within LähiTapiola Palvelut Oy. The job combines strategic development, operational leadership, and people management to ensure efficient, high-quality, customer-oriented services now and in the future. You will lead a team of over 50 finance professionals, report to the group Chief Financial Officer, and be an active member of the centralized finance unit leadership. Key responsibilities include holistic management of the payments and invoicing department, supporting and leading staff and the developer team, driving processes and operating models for efficiency and quality, guiding system development in collaboration with stakeholders, building and using performance metrics, evolving organizational structures and practices, and prioritizing and delivering development projects as the business owner in collaboration with project organizations. In the first year, focus areas include refining operating models of operational teams, building a leadership metrics framework, clarifying goals, and strengthening organizational capability. Requirements emphasize experience in demanding leadership roles, combining people leadership, business development, and strategic change management, strong knowledge of financial processes, experience managing large personnel and service portfolios, a track record of successful change implementation, process improvement and organizational reform, decisiveness and goal-driven leadership, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and an analytical, solution-oriented work approach. An understanding of system development, experience in service business, and applying AI/new technologies to development are valued. A suitable university degree or other relevant training is considered. Insurance-industry experience is not mandatory as training on our industry and operating models is provided. The role offers a significant leadership position in a business-supporting area with opportunities to influence processes, governance, and employee growth. The compensation range is stated as 7,500–9,500 EUR per month, depending on final classification and the candidate's skills and fit.
