Why become an HR trainee for the City of Vaasa? The City of Vaasa is one of the largest employers in the region. In personnel services, you will get a broad view of personnel administration, from recruitment and competence development to occupational well-being and employment relationship matters. What will you be doing? As a trainee, you will get acquainted with different areas of personnel services and participate in both daily HR tasks and development projects. Your duties include, among other things: - participating in the planning and coordination of training for management and supervisors - supporting the drafting process of competence development plans and participating in the various stages of planning, preparing, and implementing centralized training offers - participating in the drafting of the monthly training newsletter and maintaining personnel training data - joining the activities of the organization's internal developers' network - participating in the various stages of the summer employee recruitment process and preparing employment contracts - producing and developing HR materials, instructions, and presentations - participating in personnel services development tasks - participating in the arrangements for the personnel party and awards gala We expect from you: - Master's level studies in human resource management or public management - a self-motivated, active, and responsible approach to work - fluent command of Microsoft Office programs (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Success in the position requires good oral and written Finnish language skills. We also value proficiency in Swedish and English.
