Tokmanni Group is seeking a Retail Coach for the EUROSPAR project team to play a key role in the successful implementation of the EUROSPAR concept in Finland. The role focuses on developing grocery retail expertise, coaching store teams, and supporting business development within the stores. You will work closely with the EUROSPAR project manager, regional managers, procurement, marketing, HR, and experts from SPAR International. Key responsibilities include developing grocery retail competence in EUROSPAR stores, mapping skill needs, designing and implementing training programs, and coaching store staff and supervisors both before and after store openings. You will evaluate store operations, identify areas for improvement, and report findings from store visits. Additionally, you will participate in or lead development projects related to store operating models and practices, implementing new tools and methods in collaboration with various business units. The position is permanent and full-time, primarily focused on the Northern Finland region, though it requires regular travel to stores across the country. Hybrid work is possible according to group policies.

Responsibilities
- Develop grocery retail expertise in EUROSPAR stores
- Map skill needs and design/implement training programs and development measures
- Train and coach store staff and supervisors before and after store openings
- Evaluate store operations, identify development areas, and support improvement measures
- Report observations and feedback from store visits according to agreed practices
- Participate in or lead EUROSPAR development projects related to store operating models and concept implementation
- Implement new operating methods and tools in collaboration with different business units
- Collaborate closely with regional managers, procurement, marketing, and other stakeholders to continuously develop the grocery retail business
Requirements
- Relevant higher education degree or strong experience in comprehensive grocery retail management
- Strong experience and understanding of grocery retail operations, sales, and store management (e.g., as a merchant, store manager, or department manager in supermarket/hypermarket environments)
- Ability to inspire, coach, and motivate others and support learning and development
- Experience in designing and implementing effective training for various target groups
- Excellent stakeholder collaboration and networking skills at all organizational levels
- Ability to evaluate store performance, identify development areas, and implement practical improvements
- Strong project coordination and implementation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, goal-oriented approach
- Ability to operate effectively in changing situations and react flexibly to unexpected events
- Good IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; readiness to quickly adopt new systems
- Fluent English language skills
- Excellent command of Finnish at native level
- Willingness to travel extensively across Finland
