About the role

In this role you are responsible for frontline supervision, the unit’s daily operations and development together with the unit supervisor. Your responsibilities include leadership of staff, ensuring smooth daily operations, customer‑oriented service, and collaboration with different professional groups, residents and their relatives. The aim is to promote residents’ good everyday life, well‑being and safe living together with an skilled staff. You will be supported by the unit supervisor and two service supervisors. You will be oriented to the work and the systems used. Our work community is praised for its pleasant atmosphere, and new employees have felt warmly welcomed as part of the team. Experience in frontline supervision in social and health services supports the core duties, such as personnel leadership, organizing daily operations and developing elderly care services. The workplace is Leppävaara Elderly Living Center, Säterinkatu 3, 02600 Espoo. Working hours: general working hours. The position is a permanent government employment. The position is fixed-term from 1.10.2026 to 31.12.2027. Qualifications: qualifying social and health care sector higher education degree (AMK). In addition, we require: experience in frontline supervision in social and health services, personnel leadership and daily operations planning, good interpersonal, cooperation and negotiation skills, ability to operate in a change‑friendly environment, customer‑oriented approach and knowledge of elderly services, good computer skills and ability to adopt new systems. We also require vaccination against infectious diseases under the Infectious Diseases Act §48 and TB screening under §55. The successful candidate will provide a criminal background check for working with the elderly. We value leadership studies in frontline supervision, experience in elderly housing services and experience in service development and change management. We are agents of change.
