Laboratory Assistant

Job Description: Performing tests in the Vilnius testing laboratory and at construction sites. Most tests are physical, mechanical, described in testing standards. You will acquire practical and theoretical knowledge by working with the help of experienced employees: * perform tests in the laboratory with stationary equipment (e.g., determine sand permeability to water, bitumen content in asphalt, bitumen properties or asphalt density, etc.) * go to perform tests at construction sites (test whether asphalt can be laid on the installed crushed stone layer, take samples, etc.). Qualifications: * Higher education, preferably road engineering or other technical education; * Basic knowledge of English (preferably reading and understanding); * Computer work: MS Office package (preferably basic Excel knowledge); * Driver's license category B; * Main qualities: honesty, independence, responsibility, punctuality, thoroughness, eagerness to learn; * Work experience in a road testing laboratory would be an advantage.
