Your role and the team Join us at Elomatic as we strengthen our Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation Engineering team! Our offices are in Espoo, Jyväskylä, Oulu, Tampere and Turku — just tell us your preferred location in your application! As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will play an active role in multidisciplinary projects and, together with your team, be responsible for electrical engineering throughout all project phases, from pre-engineering to implementation. Your key responsibilities will include technical specifications, dimensioning and calculations, engineering documentation, and cost estimation for industrial power distribution and process electrical systems. You will evaluate alternative technical solutions and related risks while ensuring that project deliveries meet our clients' technical, operational, and lifecycle objectives. In addition, you will ensure that all solutions comply with applicable standards and regulatory requirements. As part of the project team, you will work closely with clients, suppliers, contractors, and experts from other engineering disciplines throughout the entire project lifecycle. Depending on your experience and interests, your responsibilities may also include concept engineering, procurement support, site supervision, and commissioning activities. You will be part of our Industry Business Unit, where we deliver a wide range of industrial investment projects for clients ranging from startups and growth companies to established industrial organizations across both the private and public sectors. Our projects include energy transition investments such as electric boilers, heat pumps, green hydrogen and ammonia facilities, wind power, and energy storage systems. In addition, we work on projects within traditional industries, including power generation, chemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, pulp, and paper sectors. What helps you succeed in this role - A relevant technical education, e.g. bachelor or masters in electrical engineering - Strong experience in electrical engineering and preferably also in consulting business - Knowledge in medium and low voltage systems in industrial environments and knowledge in high voltage is a plus but not a requirement - Experience in different processes e.g. industry, energy and power, chemical, food - Familiarity with database-based design tools - Strong communication skills – fluent Finnish and good English, both spoken and written - A proactive, solution-oriented mindset - Team spirit, collaboration, and knowledge sharing What we promise you Interesting and challenging projects with a team that supports each other.
