We are looking for a Department Supervisor for our Oulu factory. As Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall operation and management of your department. Most of your department’s lines run continuously in three shifts throughout the year. Your job is to ensure that daily production runs smoothly according to plan while optimizing the use of departmental resources. Your responsibilities will include managing the department’s staff efficiently and motivating them, as well as ensuring workplace safety in accordance with Prysmian’s safety guidelines and standards. You will be responsible for the quality performance of your department and ensure that collaboration with other company stakeholders, such as Maintenance, Quality, Process, and Production Planning, is effective. Shift planning and development discussions are part of your duties. You will report to the Production Manager. We expect you to have: - Appropriate technical education, for example a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent. - A few years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry. - Good leadership and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and support your team in your daily work. - The ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a hectic environment. - Good command of Finnish and English.
