We are seeking an Operations Director to take the lead in launching, managing and developing a new child protection intake and 24/7 residential care operation in Naantali. The unit will comprise two housing sections, one specialized and one demanding, designed to support children who require neuropsychiatric or developmental disability expertise, with a courtyard school also planned under Naantali’s education department. You will recruit two unit leaders who report to you and handle daily operations; they will lead work teams and act as first-line supervisors for care staff. You will report to the regional director. The operation is planned to start on 1 January 2027, and the role will be filled flexibly during the autumn. Responsibilities include accountability for the overall operation, customer acquisition and relationships, personnel and finances, and acting as an educational head for the care and rehabilitation work. You will drive quality and impact of care and upbringing activities, lead staff development in collaboration with unit leaders, and oversee client partnerships with public health and school cooperation. A key part of the role is to develop an engaging organizational culture aligned with our values. The first year targets include launching business as a new entity, internalising our Sospro values, establishing customer base and partnerships, ensuring service quality and results, and making visible the actionable data from care and rehabilitation activities. Requirements include prior leadership and development experience in foster care management, a social or health care university degree, and a willingness to contribute to Sospro’s vision and values. An official criminal record extract required.
