Job title: Power Transmission Line Technicians 110/400 kV. Description: We are seeking power line technicians for travel work on 110/400 kV transmission line construction, installation, and maintenance projects across Finland. The position is a mobile project role. The employment contract is with Henkilöstöliiga. We are looking for people at various experience levels: you may be at the start of your career or an experienced 110/400 kV power line professional. Your duties and responsibilities will be determined by your education, practical experience, and technical competence. ASSISTANT LEVEL: You have suitable electrical, energy, or technical training background or studies, but limited practical experience. You will work under the guidance of more experienced installers and participate in tasks such as assembling structures, material handling, and handling conductors and other power line components. SKILLED LEVEL: You have practical experience in building, installing, or maintaining 110 kV and/or 400 kV power lines. You can independently perform standard power line construction and maintenance tasks, manage pole structures, conductor handling, insulators and connections, and safety at height. Independent work at height is required in line with training and orientation, and you must be proficient with fall protection and rescue equipment. PROFICIENT LEVEL: You have strong, verifiable practical experience with 110 kV and/or 400 kV power lines. You can independently handle demanding power line construction, maintenance, and fault-finding tasks, and you may mentor less experienced workers as a senior installer. At this level, high-altitude work, risk assessment, and complex problem solving are expected. The level is defined by your prior substation or high-voltage experience. You may apply for assistant roles without prior 110/400 kV experience if you have relevant training. Likewise, a proficient installer is expected to have solid hands-on experience with 110 kV and/or 400 kV tasks. Your duties may include: 110/400 kV line construction and maintenance; pole structure assembly, equipment, and installation; installation of insulators, insulator chains, mounts, and other components; conductor pulling, handling, installation, and tightening; conductor splicing; OPGW and lightning conductor installation; inspection, maintenance and repair of power line structures; working at height and use of fall protection; rigging, lashing, and material handling; fault finding, disturbance repairs, and mentoring other installers. What we expect from applicants: suitable electrical, energy, or technical training or relevant practical experience; good safety attitude and responsible approach; willingness to work at heights; physical fitness for outdoor power line work; Class B driving licence readiness for travel and varied project sites in Finland; role-appropriate practical skills; fluent Finnish. Mandatory training: Valid SFS 6002 training and Occupational Safety Card. Depending on role and project, we also verify training and qualifications related to working at height, fall protection, rescue, first aid, personnel lifts, and material handling. Indicative pay scales: Assistant: 15–17 €/h; Skilled: 18–20 €/h; Proficient: 20–23 €/h+. For travel duties, allowances are paid under the applicable collective agreement.
