Healthcare Assistant

As a flexible on-call home care assistant, you work according to customer needs primarily in Pirkkala and Tampere across areas including Amuri, Härmälä, Koivistonkylä, Lielahdi, Pispala, Tammerkoski, Tesoma and Viinikka. The role involves independent, challenging work focused on quality patient care in clients’ homes. Tasks include client-centered assistance in daily activities and nursing tasks according to agreed care plans with the goal of enabling a good everyday life and home living. We also utilize wellbeing technology in client care. Requirements: you must be a licensed practical nurse (social welfare) or a practical nurse; you have completed the LOVe medication administration online test (LOP, PKV, KIPU1, GER1) and may complete online tests at the start of employment if needed. A valid B-driver’s license is required; car use is considered an advantage. Strong interaction and teamwork skills and a positive attitude are needed. Finnish language proficiency is required for client and reporting tasks. You should be proactive, independent, flexible and cooperative. The position is permanent, starting 26 October 2026 or as agreed. Full-time hours, typically 38 h 15 min per week, with morning and evening shifts. A six-month probation period applies. Before starting, the selected candidate must provide a police clearance certificate as per section 6(4) of the Police Act. Vaccination protection is strongly recommended per Infectious Diseases Act section 48. Pirkanmaa wellbeing services county uses infection-control questionnaire for new employees.
