Join our team and help strengthen our business unit in the Oulu, Tampere or Pori area, supported by the group’s other design services. We are looking for skilled people to solve industrial and building-services engineering challenges in interesting projects and a growing, development-oriented workplace. As a Plant and Process Designer, you will take part in diverse industrial investment, modernisation and development projects. You will be responsible for designing and developing process solutions and preparing and maintaining key process design documents, such as process flow diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs. You will carry out technical calculations, dimensioning and simulations related to process and equipment design, and prepare technical specifications, requests for quotations and other design documentation. You will work closely with experts from different design disciplines and participate in preparing investment and feasibility studies for our clients. You will also act as a technical expert in projects, for example in procurement processes, equipment comparisons and supplier collaboration. In addition, you will facilitate client workshops, design meetings and reviews, and actively contribute to the technical development of projects with clients and project teams. Because the role includes site visits, we hope you have a category B driving licence. We also hope you are ready to travel when needed to more distant sites. To succeed, you need a suitable engineering or Master of Science in Technology degree and experience in plant and process design in industrial projects. You may have worked on energy or chemical industry projects and understand the operating environment of industrial investment projects. You are comfortable working with pressure equipment legislation and PSK standards. VertexG4 PI and Plant skills are considered an advantage. You know the main process design methods and documents, dimensioning calculations and technical specifications. You have experience developing processes and producing design solutions for clients’ business needs. We especially value experience in energy-sector investment, modernisation or development projects. Experience with boiler plants, biogas plants and other industrial energy systems supports your success in the role. You understand the full lifecycle of plant projects, from preliminary studies to commissioning, and can work smoothly with clients, equipment manufacturers, contractors and experts from different design disciplines. You can work in English when needed and enjoy client-facing work that combines technical expertise with collaboration and communication skills.
