About the role

We are looking for an early childhood education teacher to plan and implement pedagogical activities for children together with the work team. Work begins on September 1, 2026, or by agreement. At the start of employment, the teacher's position will be located at Päiväkoti Väentupa, which is the daycare unit of the municipality of Tyrnävä. The teacher's working hours are primarily between Monday and Friday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. In our operations, the implementation of small-group activities and the promotion of positive pedagogy within the team and as part of the entire work community are important. We value a professional, pedagogical, and child-centered approach, a positive and responsible attitude, initiative and flexibility, good interaction skills, and the ability to lead one's own team. The municipality of Tyrnävä offers its early childhood education teachers a flexible SAK working time and a development-oriented work environment. In joint pedagogical meetings, teachers plan, evaluate, and develop the pedagogy of the entire work community. We regularly organize continuing education for our staff, and during the operational year, we hold the work community's own planning, evaluation, and development days. You will receive support for your work from your colleagues, the special education teacher for early childhood education, and your supervisor. In early childhood education, we focus on building effective substitute systems. The municipality also employs permanent rotating early childhood education childcare assistants. The municipality of Tyrnävä focuses on supporting occupational well-being. We celebrate a work community recreation day annually. Eligibility requirements are determined according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). Before accepting the position, the selected candidate must present an acceptable medical certificate of health and a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). A 6-month probationary period applies to the appointment. Certificates proving eligibility must be presented at a possible interview.
