Research Assistant

REQUIREMENTS A successful candidate has a B.Sc. or M.Sc. study right in a Finnish university, an excellent study record in a relevant engineering field, experience in programming and interest in applying AI tools in electromagnetic modeling. In particular, experience with or interest in some of the following are appreciated: programming in MATLAB, Python or Fortran; scientific computing, e.g., the finite element method; dynamic electromagnetics, electrical machines and transformers; open-weight AI models, local AI deployment tools (e.g. Ollama, OpenCode) and agentic AI workflows; customizing large language models. They can also demonstrate high-quality writing and reporting skills. The position requires good English language skills.
