The task of employment services is to promote the availability and matching of skilled labor. Employment services assist job seekers in their job search, skill development, and career path planning. We also provide services to employer clients regarding staff recruitment, development, and change management situations. The role of the Integration and Immigrant Services Specialist is to provide integration and employment services for immigrant clients in accordance with the Integration Act and the Act on the Organization of Public Employment Services (hereinafter the Organization Act). Through multidisciplinary cooperation, the specialists involved in this work contribute to reducing structural unemployment, preventing social exclusion, and thereby improving the availability of skilled labor. The position requires mastery of individual, solution-oriented, and guiding customer service. In diverse customer work, differences in cultures and languages can bring challenges to interaction. Customer work and cooperation networks operate in Finnish or Swedish, so fluent command of both national languages is essential. Customer service is also conducted in English when the client is proficient in the language. In other situations, interpretation services are used, primarily via telephone interpretation. Collaboration with various stakeholders is emphasized, such as municipal integration services, providers of vocational training, operators of liberal adult education, and vocational educational institutions. Cooperation relates to integration training, language training, TUVA training, basic education for adults, and vocational education. The position requires knowledge of the Aliens Act, the Integration Act, the Organization Act, and the Unemployment Security Act, and the ability to apply them in individual customer situations. The task involves demanding problem-solving, which requires independent application of information based on specialized expertise and discretion-based decision-making. Services and training according to the Integration Act are mandatory for the client, and the official role is particularly emphasized in drafting the integration plan and monitoring unemployment security. The eligibility requirement is a suitable higher education degree. The language requirement is good oral and written skill in Finnish and Swedish. English language skills are considered an advantage. We value knowledge of service systems, an understanding of the labor market and education field, and expertise in legislation related to employment administration and immigrant services. Experience in guidance services for immigrants, development work, and network cooperation is considered an advantage. The salary is determined according to the KVTES level salary system. The probationary period is six months. The person selected for the position must present a medical certificate regarding their health status (T-certificate) before starting work. Interviews will be held in weeks 32-33.
