Designer

We are seeking a professional with expertise in technical design and 3D modeling to join SeaKing's Helsinki design team. You will strengthen a 14-person design group that creates catering solutions for cruise ships, including spaces for food storage, preparation, handling, and bar back‑of‑house areas. The role covers layout planning, furniture design, penetrations, and equipment mounts, as well as integration with electrical, water, ventilation and cooling systems. Design work typically starts with smaller, standardized elements and evolves into broader space planning. Proficiency with 2D/3D design tools such as MicroStation, Inventor and Vault is expected. A path to senior design responsibilities and potential involvement in sales/concept design is noted. The candidate should have relevant engineering education (e.g., engineer or master’s degree in mechanical design or related field) and good Finnish and English language skills, with some travel readiness. You should be able to work independently, be systematic and proactive, and communicate well with stakeholders.
