The Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences collaborate to form Finland’s second-largest multidisciplinary research and learning community. The Digital Identity Specialist will help build and develop central identity and access management services for the Tampere higher education community. The role combines technical expertise with service development and close collaboration with stakeholders and service providers. Responsibilities include planning IAM solutions and processes, creating a holistic view of current Identity governance, and evaluating opportunities from new technologies, automation and AI to advance identity management services. The position includes enabling adoption of solutions within the university’s digital services and working across teams to implement improvements. The appointment is for an indefinite period, starting as soon as possible under an IT architect title. The salary is determined by the university’s general collective agreement for other expert and support staff; starting level is to be agreed with the candidate. Requirements
- Strong interest in identity and access management and information security
- Ability to grasp large-scale systems and data flows
- Willingness to take responsibility, lead development and implement ideas
- Solid technical knowledge of identity management technologies and authentication
- Experience with cloud services, integrations and information systems
- Relevant previous work experience and education background
- Desire to develop, learn and share knowledge
- Collaboration and teamwork skills across roles and stakeholders
- Excellent Finnish and English language skills
