Application Specialist

Sandvik Coromant Finland Oy is looking to strengthen its Finnish team with an Application Specialist to support customers’ production development and business growth. The role is based in Southern Finland, with work from home and travel to customer sites in the country. You will be responsible for implementing and maximizing the value of technical solutions delivered to customers, working closely with the sales team, and playing a central role in developing both existing and new customer relations. Key tasks include implementing technical solutions for customers and distributors, improving production processes, driving projects from concept to order, actively working with sales and customer projects, building customer relationships at production and management levels, identifying and developing new business opportunities, designing and delivering trainings for customers and partners, solving technical issues, and continuous improvement in collaboration with customers and the organization. What we require: experience in machining (e.g., turning, milling, drilling); several years in technical expert roles or similar; strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes; project experience with customer interfaces; ability to identify customer needs and build value-adding solutions; good communication and presentation skills; fluent English and excellent Finnish; CAD/CAM experience is valued; interest in digital solutions (data, analytics, digital machining); sales-oriented and solution-focused mindset.
