Construction Manager

Verkonrakentaja Wire is one of Finland’s oldest network construction companies. For 35 years, we have served as a partner to the energy and telecommunications sectors. Our services cover all areas of contracting: design, project management, construction and installation, documentation and post-inspections. We tailor turnkey contracting to meet each customer’s needs. We have around 30 permanent employees and, depending on the season, around 70–100 full-time partner-company workers. Our revenue is approximately €20 million, and our offices are in Parola and Vantaa. Since October 2025, Verkonrakentaja Wire has been part of the Nordic Aterion Group, which provides comprehensive, high-quality services to electricity network owners, industrial operators and other critical infrastructure owners. Would you like to play a key role in growing our electricity-network construction services business? We are looking for an experienced, practical Construction Manager to strengthen construction operations in our projects. As Construction Manager, you will oversee worksites, project progress and the high-quality, profitable delivery of work. The role combines planning, financial monitoring, personnel leadership and daily collaboration with customers, subcontractors and other stakeholders. Your responsibilities include: - Planning, directing and monitoring earthworks and other construction engineering work - Managing worksite schedules, costs and resources - Supporting and leading site supervisors and worksite personnel - Coordinating subcontractors and material suppliers - Monitoring worksite quality, occupational safety and environmental matters - Working with customers and partners - Tracking and reporting project finances - Supporting tendering and procurement - Resolving worksite problems and ensuring projects progress smoothly What we expect from you: - Relevant education in construction - Several years of experience in earthworks or foundation construction - Experience leading worksites or projects - A good understanding of financial matters and scheduling - A systematic and independent approach to work - Strong supervisory, collaboration and negotiation skills - The ability to make decisions in busy situations - A category B driving licence and availability for work-related travel - The ability to communicate fluently in English in the work environment We particularly value experience in groundworks, foundations and housebuilding, for example.
