Work Experience Placement in Vireko Service Kitchens

Hello! Come and explore the lively everyday work of a service kitchen during a work experience placement! Vireko has two service kitchens in Kuhmo: Kuusenkuiske and Satumetsä. Both kitchens serve daycares. Each kitchen welcomes one work experience student at a time. Vireko’s kitchens do important work with good food every day. We prepare tasty meals that bring joy and well-being to our customers’ days. During your placement, you’ll get a look behind the scenes of a professional kitchen and learn about a wide range of tasks. Your placement days may include dishwashing and other dish-related work, unloading deliveries, and other kitchen support tasks. You’ll also get to explore cleaning work. Every day is a little different, so there will be plenty to do! We have a friendly and skilled team that will help you get started and guide you through all the tasks. You can take your time getting to know working life, learning new skills and seeing what working in meal services is really like. You will receive help and an introduction to all tasks. We provide work clothes, but you should bring your own indoor shoes. We offer you lunch from our menu. Applications are open until 31 October 2026.
