Layout Designer

We are seeking an experienced layout design professional for electrical substations and transmission solutions. In this role you will be responsible for layout design of substations and STATCOM systems, 3D modeling, and coordinating equipment placement with interfaces across design disciplines. You will also draft assembly and installation drawings and support design throughout project phases. The work is mainly at our client’s premises in Tampere, with a hybrid model of 2–3 days in the office per week. Duties include: layout design for substations and transmission solutions with 3D modeling of equipment assemblies; considering placement, accessibility, maintainability, space requirements and clearance distances; producing assembly and installation drawings and other technical documentation; supporting BIM coordination and model alignment; collaborating with project team, suppliers, client and site stakeholders; participating in tender design, delivery projects, design reviews and on-site technical support. Requirements include strong practical experience with Revit and SolidWorks; experience in layout design and 3D modeling for power electronics in substations, transmission or energy sectors; experience drafting assembly and installation drawings; understanding of equipment placement, interface management and spatial/clearance requirements; good BIM coordination and model integration skills; fluent Finnish and English; proactive work ethic and good teamwork. Desirable: experience with valve structures, cooling systems, piping or on-site construction design; mechanical integration of substation equipment. Salary range for this position is 4,000–5,500 €/month. Final salary depends on candidate’s skills and experience.
