Domestic Services Worker for On-Call Work

We are looking for a domestic services worker for on-call work at Norlandia Isopakari. Norlandia Isopakari provides high-quality housing services and care for older people in Malminkartano, with good transport connections. Our innovative YHDESSÄ concept brings older people, children and dogs together under one roof. Everyday life at Isopakari is built around basic care, taking residents’ safety into account, and supporting well-being and a meaningful life. Daily work is based on planned activities and responding to residents’ needs. Work is done in teams where responsibility is shared and good cooperation matters. Organising your own work and communicating clearly are an important part of everyday life. Residents are at the heart of what we do. Everyday life feels good, and shared outdoor activities brighten the days of residents and staff. Our goal is to make everyday life meaningful and homelike for everyone and to support each person in living a life that is their own. As a domestic services worker, you will make sure our premises are clean and pleasant for residents and employees. You will take care of cleanliness and hygiene. Your workday also includes assisting with food service, such as heating and preparing food, washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean. Residents’ laundry and maintaining storage areas are also part of the job. What we expect from you: - A warm approach to older people, their family members, colleagues and everyone in the wider community. - A passion for cleanliness and tidiness. - A qualification for domestic services work or three years of cleaning experience in the field. - Vaccination protection in accordance with section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act. - A hygiene passport. - Finnish language skills at B1 level. - The person selected must provide a valid criminal record extract before starting employment. If the work amounts to at least three months of full-time-equivalent work, the extract must be provided no later than during the probationary period. - Comfort working in an environment visited daily by dogs from the on-site dog daycare.
