The role combines client‑oriented service guidance, decision making and coordination of housing places for the elderly. We are seeking a service coordinator for the elderly client guidance and social work services within Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialue. Your primary workplace is Loimaa. Responsibilities include guiding and advising elderly clients on housing services, assessing service needs, managing client records and making official decisions; you will work closely with clients, their relatives, elderly service areas, other result areas and private service providers. You will coordinate housing service placements for the elderly within the wellbeing district, allocate places, make decisions and keep client information up to date. Work supports smooth service pathways, timely decision making and the overall housing services in close cooperation with the network. Supervisors will be your Service Manager. The selection for the role will be based on merit comparisons, interviews and overall suitability assessments. We offer meaningful work in a central role affecting service arrangements for the elderly and the path of service flows. You will work in a broad collaboration network and utilise your expertise in service need assessments, coordination of housing services and decision making. To succeed you should have good knowledge of elderly services, strong collaboration and communication skills, client‑oriented approach, organizational skills and ability to work under time constraints and make independent decisions. Driving license and own car are required. A suitable university degree in social welfare or a preceding diploma is required. Proficiency in Finnish (written and spoken) and satisfactory Swedish (written and spoken) are required; good Swedish is a plus.
