Senior Backend Developer

L’opportunité We are hiring a Senior Backend Developer to join our Engine AI team. This is a small high-impact team that builds the internal AI tools and infrastructure that make developers within our Engine group faster and more effective every day. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the backend infrastructure that powers our internal AI solutions, and you will focus on performance, reliability and scalability of inference systems. You will collaborate closely with tech leads, product and engineering teams to design and operate the critical services that support the entire Unity Engine organization. This role offers the chance to move beyond usage to creation: you will actively shape agentic tools that will raise productivity across Unity. What you will do Design, develop and deploy scalable backend services and distributed systems to support large-scale model inference. Contribute to the roadmap and design of our inference platform with emphasis on low latency and high throughput. Architect core services for the Agent Development Kit (ADK) and other AI orchestration frameworks to enable reliable state management and multi-agent workflows. Ensure reliability, scalability and efficiency in production using monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana. Collaborate cross-functionally with release management, QA, product and development teams to align our solutions with strategic priorities. Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (GCP) and orchestrate workloads with Kubernetes. Promote best practices for backend development, testing, deployment and monitoring (DevOps, SRE). What we’re looking for Extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying and maintaining distributed systems at scale, including cloud infrastructure on GCP and Kubernetes. Proficiency in Python / Node.js / Golang. Familiarity with ADK, Claude SDK, LangGraph or other AI orchestration frameworks. Familiarity with microservice architectures, Docker and CI/CD. Strong communication and collaboration skills. You might also have a DevOps or SRE background with infrastructure automation experience. Experience building GitHub integrations or tooling for developers. Experience building tools for internal developer workflows. Additional information Relocation support is not available.
