About the role

Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort is one of Finland's best-known and most talked about travel destinations. This family business, founded in 1974, is in Saariselkä, Lapland. Kakslauttanen hosts around 30,000 visitors each year, many of them from abroad. We are looking for skilled and experienced chefs to join us for our winter season 2026-2027. Contract is seasonal, starting mid October- mid November until end of March 2027. We provide full hours, 112,5h/3week period. What we are looking for: * Great cooking skills * Ability to organize the kitchen with the needed cooking utensils and ensureall meals are prepared well in a timely manner. * Following recipes as per Finnish and International cooking standards. * Attention to detailin cooking * Experience with cooking withdietary restrictions. * Experience incleaning and sanitizing all equipment and work areas in the kitchen. * Culinary school education is a plus * Relevant previous work experience * Good English language skills, so that you can communicate with your colleagues(our company language is English) Personal skills: * Positive attitude * Professional attitude towards work - work can be hectic but we do not yell at our colleagues * Handling guest complaints in a professional manner. * Flexible in working different shifts (morning, day, evening) * Excellent cooperation skills What we consider as a plus: * Finnish hygiene passport * Driver's license * Additional language skills In Finland, you are required to have a valid Finnish Hygiene Passport. The Hygiene Passport is valid for life, and we will help you obtain it. The cost of the Hygiene Passport is the responsibility of each employee. We have two restaurants serving our customers during the winter season, in East Village and in West Village. Both restaurants can fit several hundreds of customers. The location of the resort is in the middle of lovely nature, and here you also have time to enjoy nature and try different activities that you might never get to try otherwise. We have also a small gym for our staff, and possibilities to try cross country skiing and other winter activities. It is possible to rent an shared apartment through us, so it is easy to join us where ever you are coming from. Apartments are for two people. In terms of employment, we follow the collective agreement of the tourism and restaurant industry, and the salary is according to the agreement, considering the applicant's previous experience and education.
