Ward Physician

The Pirkanmaa welfare region runs three campus rehabilitation wards, one of which is located at the Hatanpää campus in Tampere. We are seeking a ward physician for the Hatanpää campus rehabilitation ward. The ward is a general medicine unit, focusing on basic onward treatment and ward rehabilitation for orthopedic and neurological patients. You will have the opportunity to follow patients’ rehabilitation progress closely and contribute to restoring functional capacity. The ward work is truly multidisciplinary, with nurses, physiotherapists, and, as needed, occupational and speech therapists. You will be part of a team including an internal medicine specialist, and you will be supported by a broad network of colleagues at Hatanpää. Collaboration is close, with easy consultation connections and a culture of mutual cooperation. We emphasise professional development and training, organising weekly doctor meetings and regional trainings. Hatanpää has educational rights in geriatrics and general medicine. For residents, a personal supervising physician is appointed, and the training structure supports targeted skill development. Qualification required: licensed physician in Finland and sufficient experience in a relevant field or specialist rights in a relevant field. Proficiency in Finnish language (spoken and written) is required. Beneficial: experience in general medicine ward work and experience in management of orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation patients. We value good cooperation skills and development orientation. Vaccination protection in accordance with the Infectious Diseases Act (1227/2016) §48 is required.
