Are you an experienced People Operations professional ready to make a tangible impact? We are looking for a strategic thinker who thrives in a versatile, international role and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. If you can translate business needs into a clear people strategy while navigating organizational growth in the life sciences sector, we want to hear from you! About the Company Blueprint Genetics, a Quest Diagnostics company, is a clinical genetic testing organization aspiring to bring genetic knowledge to mainstream healthcare, benefiting patients with rare inherited diseases worldwide. Though we are part of a larger global enterprise, BpG maintains a close-knit, small-company culture where every team member’s contribution matters. We are looking for a People Operations Leader to manage and develop our people processes and to lead the strategic HR initiatives in the EMEA region. About the Role As the People Operations Leader, you will lead our people strategy and HR operations across the EMEA region. You will translate company strategy into concrete, actionable HR initiatives and play a key role in driving functional excellence and process improvement. You will serve as an active member of the Blueprint Genetics Leadership team, ensuring our People Operations are closely aligned with business objectives. You will work cross-functionally with leaders in Operations, Quality, Finance, Sales, and Software across all our locations. Reporting to the US-based Sr. Director, HR Business Partner, you will lead a dedicated two-person HR team in Finland. You will act as a strategic business partner but also dive into the day-to-day tactical HR operations alongside your team. This is a full-time, permanent, and hybrid position with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week. Your Main Responsibilities - Global & Regional HR Leadership: Responsible for People operations support across EMEA, APAC, and Canadian regions, including performance management, talent management, employee relations, workplace cooperation, and total rewards (compensation, benefits, and payroll). - Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate with business leaders to understand their needs, proactively aligning people solutions with broader organizational objectives. Provide coaching to executives and leadership teams. - Hands-on Operational Support: Provide practical support across the entire employee lifecycle. This includes overseeing recruiting, payroll, benefits, reporting, HRIS, and HR administration. - Organizational Effectiveness: Drive employee and leadership development, organizational design, transformation, and change management initiatives. - Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and empower a fantastic local team of two People Ops professionals, helping them deliver to their full potential. - Compliance & Alignment: Ensure strict compliance with local legal and labor relations requirements while adhering to global standards. Partner with the wider Quest global HR team to identify synergies and implement shared processes. Our Ideal Candidate - Experience: 7+ years of experience leading HR initiatives and people processes preferably in an international, matrixed environment. Experience in a highly regulated field is a strong advantage. - Balanced Approach: A true strategic partner who enjoys driving business strategy, but genuinely thrives when rolling up their sleeves to handle day-to-day tactical HR operations. - Local Expertise: Strong, practical knowledge of Finnish employment legislation, collective agreements, and workplace cooperation practices. Familiarity with employment law in other regions (e.g., Germany, Spain, Australia, or other Nordic countries) is a plus. - Change & Efficiency: A proven track record of facilitating organizational change in a fast-paced environment and a desire to streamline HR tools and processes for maximum efficiency. - Leadership & Coaching: Genuine passion for leading a team and managing people. Strong coaching skills and a history of resolving complex employment-related matters, from wellbeing to performance. - Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Finnish. You communicate with clarity, build trust effortlessly, and champion company culture. - Flexibility: Ability to occasionally adjust working hours into the evening to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the Atlantic. Why You’ll Thrive Here You enjoy working at the heart of People Operations in a global matrix environment. You tackle ambiguity head-on and work systematically and independently to achieve concrete results, but you also value proactive collaboration. You bring fresh ideas to the table and are ready to execute them to improve the employee experience. You are empathetic, results-oriented, and possess the managerial courage to support an organization going through high growth. Most importantly, you maintain an optimistic, solution-oriented mindset even when things are still evolving. What We Offer - Meaningful Work: The opportunity to work in a growing company with a clear, motivating purpose: improving the lives of patients and families affected by inherited diseases. - Impact & Autonomy: A role where you can truly shape local People Operations. We are open to new ideas and want to learn from you as much as we want you to grow with us. - Great Culture: A positive, open, and international environment. In addition to the local team of nearly 250 experienced genetics professionals, you get to collaborate with the supportive HR specialist teams of Quest Diagnostics. - Comprehensive Benefits: Flexible working conditions, participation in a performance-based bonus system, extensive occupational healthcare, sports/culture/wellbeing benefits, and vibrant team events.
