About the role

Remote is a fully remote company helping organizations hire, pay, and manage international teams. The Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions will manage employee exits for Remote’s external employees with a focus on legal compliance and providing delightful customer service. You will also provide first-level Employee Relations support, guiding clients through workplace concerns and coordinating resources as needed. Part of the Lifecycle team, you’ll contribute to process improvements and initiatives aligned with Remote’s goals. Responsibilities include offboarding across AMER/EMEA/APAC, handling termination procedures, coordinating with payroll/legal/counsel, drafting termination documents, operating on the HRIS, and supporting clients on progressive disciplinary approaches. The role requires HR advisory or HRBP experience, strong knowledge of employment laws across jurisdictions, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work asynchronously in a global, remote setting. English proficiency at business level is required; additional languages are a plus. You will report to the Manager of Employee Lifecycle, Employee Relations & Transitions. Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Offboarding: manage end-to-end exits across multiple jurisdictions; draft termination documents; coordinate with payroll/legal; lead meetings; ensure compliance
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure compliance and audits; support progressive disciplinary approaches
  • Process offboarding in HRIS and collaborate with internal teams
  • Be subject-matter expert for offboarding questions; guide clients through policies and processes
  • Conduct preliminary assessment of workplace concerns; ensure local regulations are applied
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to handle employee relations matters
  • Monitor ongoing cases and identify opportunities for improvements

Requirements

  • Experience as a HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR competencies across the employee lifecycle
  • Strong track record in managing voluntary and involuntary exits with legal compliance across jurisdictions
  • Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments and provide practical HR solutions
  • Understanding of employee relations principles and workplace investigations
  • Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management and negotiation skills
  • Business-level English; additional languages a plus
  • Aptitude to innovate and optimize processes; automation
  • Attention to data integrity and record-keeping
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote, asynchronous environment
