Metsä Group’s Wood Supply and Forest Services builds and develops services for members and customers. The role focuses on accelerating the adoption of generative AI and LLM-based solutions and supporting the development of electronic services and online commerce. You will work within Metsä Forest’s development function digitalization team to build data and AI solutions that support business, in collaboration with business units, development leads, and Metsä Group’s ICT organization. The role involves validating data for analyses and developing functionalities that speed up digital customer interactions and commercial solutions. You will design, develop, and implement LLM- and generative AI-based solutions for electronic invoicing and e-services, and work actively with business, ICT, and external partners from concept to production (pilot to scalable deployment). You will participate in SAFe-based ongoing development and iterative solution-building with your team.

Requirements
- A higher university degree in statistics, computer science, industrial engineering/DI or equivalent
- Strong analytics, machine learning, and deep learning expertise
- Experience with generative AI solutions in commercial contexts
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks) and Python/SQL
- Business-facing mindset and ability to link technology to value
- Good collaboration and communication skills in Finnish and English
