Shop Supervisor

Primary location: TURKU. Develop into a manager in everyday jobs within a very good team. We invite five S-Päällikkö-valmennettavaa to grow into results-driven managers at Turun Osuuskauppa. The trainees will be employed full-time and permanently, with a roughly year and a half coaching period starting 24 November 2026. During the coaching you gain strong skills for supervisory tasks as well as managing business and everyday operations. The retail tasks in this call are in the store sector (Sale, S-market, Prismo) and restaurant sector positions in quick-service units such as lunch cafés and Hesburgers. The coaching combines hands-on learning with business know-how, working in Turun Osuuskauppa units across Varsinais-Suomi, and exposure to the day-to-day realities of the sector. You must be prepared for varied shifts, including both weekdays and weekends. Treated as leaders, managers are present where work happens: with customers, products, meals, teams, and daily adjustments. During on-the-job learning you will serve customers, develop unit operations, ensure sales readiness and participate in daily business leadership. Some days are quieter, others busier; the aim is to learn how to build a good workday, a functioning team, and profitable operations in everyday situations. The coaching is tailored to your previous experience and skills. Each trainee receives a dedicated tutor who acts as your supervisor, supporting your learning and helping build a personalised development path. The coaching is conducted in cooperation with Jollas Institute. In addition to practical work you attend local sessions with other trainee groups, complete online studies and assignments, and carry out a project. This provides a broad view of your sector and of S-group’s business as a whole.
