Head Chef

Salla Wilderness Park is seeking a head chef to develop our kitchen operations and to manage daily kitchen work as part of a small, close-knit team. The restaurant’s philosophy is simple: unpretentious, high quality food rooted in local ingredients. Responsibilities include: designing menus in collaboration with management; planning kitchen shifts; placing orders and managing inventory; overseeing HACCP/compliance; organizing and directing the kitchen team; developing kitchen operations and offerings. During peak season you will work alongside three additional cooks and a pastry chef; during the summer the team is smaller. We expect experience as a cook and prior supervisory experience, ability to work independently and responsibly, good collaboration and organizational skills, basic IT skills, and a HACCP certificate. We particularly value an interest in improving operations and creating high-quality dining experiences in Lapland.
