We are seeking a bilingual daycare center director for Verkanappulat Oy in Kaarina, responsible for leading two early childhood units and shaping their development. The role focuses on administrative and leadership duties, while remaining present and approachable to staff, children and guardians. You will guide operations with a goal-oriented approach, develop everyday practices and pedagogy, and participate in team activities. You will be part of the regional daycare directors team, receiving ongoing support from colleagues and a supervisor. The position includes: personnel leadership and wellbeing support; recruiting involvement; creating a learning and supportive culture; ensuring smooth daily operations; resource management; coordinating safety; procurement; coordinating meals and cleaning; pedagogical leadership and quality assessment; ensuring group outcomes; leading child support processes; collaborating with families and municipalities; monitoring occupancy and reporting to the area manager. Requirements include the daycare director qualification (e.g. bachelor or master in pedagogy, social services teaching qualification, or other suitable qualification), leadership experience in early childhood education, change management, and strong collaboration skills with fluency in Finnish and Swedish.
