Procurement Engineer

Our client is now looking for a Procurement Engineer for its Vantaa office. This role offers a unique opportunity to move from a construction site to office work and develop into a procurement professional in a people-oriented, low-bureaucracy workplace where results and a fair approach speak for themselves. As a Procurement Engineer, you will ensure smooth procurement processes in close cooperation with managers. The role combines making use of your construction-site background with tasks in an office environment that require precision. Our team and managers will support you during onboarding and professional development. We offer flexible working hours (start between 6 and 9) and the support of a close-knit team of 4–5 people. You can develop into a procurement professional without unnecessary bureaucracy, in a fair and straightforward atmosphere. In the Procurement Engineer role, you will take care of procurement processes for construction projects, from preparing and comparing requests for quotation through to drafting contracts. - Compile and send request-for-quotation materials - Prepare and present comparable tender comparisons - Participate in bid clarification negotiations and act as minute-taker - Draft and compile procurement contracts based on negotiations - Assist estimating and tendering with preliminary enquiries and pricing information - Work closely with project managers and site management We are looking for: - Experience from construction sites and an understanding of what is being procured - A basic understanding of procurement process principles - Ability to compare tenders and prepare contracts - Suitable construction education, such as a construction engineering degree from a university of applied sciences or vocational education - Fluent Finnish - A fair, committed and straightforward attitude We appreciate: - English language skills To succeed in the role, you are supportive, responsible and respectful.
