Enerquest is a specialist company founded in 2024, focusing on project management, site supervision and consulting for renewable energy projects. We serve clients in wind power, solar power, power lines and BESS projects. We support clients throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to construction and commissioning: site supervision and project management through to HSEQ tasks and safety coordination.
Our AERO service combines drone technology and non-destructive testing (NDT). We carry out inspections, measurements and documentation quickly, safely and without longer production interruptions.
Enerquest’s growing team currently has six members, and its shared office is in Kempele. We work at client sites throughout Finland.
Would you like to help build Finland’s energy transition and grow into an energy-project professional in a small, skilled team where your contribution will be visible? With a new power line project starting, we are looking for a
PROJECT ENGINEER
We are not simply looking for an employee. We want someone who is committed to helping build Enerquest’s growth and wants to make a genuine difference. Our goal is to build a close-knit, highly skilled and committed team whose members may also have the opportunity to share ownership of the company in the future.
As a Project Engineer at Enerquest, you will typically act as the client’s representative or, in some cases, as the contractor’s HSEQ engineer on site. You will make sure the project progresses safely, to a high standard and in accordance with environmental requirements. Your first project will be a multi-year power line project starting in early 2027, with an emphasis on HSEQ tasks for the contractor: monitoring site safety, quality and environmental matters. Depending on the scale of the projects and your experience, you will typically be responsible for one or two projects at a time.
We aim to provide clients with comprehensive owner’s engineering services, so your work may later expand to other energy projects. In wind power projects, this could include supervising earthworks and road works, internal network cabling, foundation pours, component transport and turbine erection. In solar power and substation projects, you may supervise construction work and the installation of electrical equipment and systems. You may also act as a safety coordinator on these projects. Depending on your interests, you can take part in drone inspections through our AERO service.
Practical details
The position is permanent and full-time. We hope you can start toward the end of the year or, at the latest, early in the new year. Working hours are generally standard office hours from Monday to Friday, although it may also be possible to work the weekly hours over Monday to Thursday.
We are primarily looking for a new team member in the Pirkanmaa, Päijät-Häme or Vaasa area, as your first project site will be in these regions. The role requires daily work on site, and you will have an Enerquest company car for work-related travel. Some of our projects may allow more remote or office-based work, so a hybrid arrangement may be possible in the future, depending on the project.
The salary range is approximately €3,500–€4,000, depending on your previous experience. The employer covers work-related travel costs and daily allowances. If needed, we can also cover accommodation near the site if you do not live within driving distance. We also aim to make it possible for the whole team to acquire an ownership stake in Enerquest in the future.
What we are looking for
This role is well suited to someone enthusiastic and keen to develop who is early in their career. You have graduated or are close to completing studies in civil or electrical engineering. Alongside your studies, you already have a few years of experience in HSEQ work or on construction sites. Your experience may come from professional worker-level duties, summer jobs or internships in a site staff role.
Through your studies or previous work, you have basic knowledge of concrete and steel structures, HSEQ matters and reporting practices. Knowledge of infrastructure construction, particularly on energy projects, is a strong advantage.
The upcoming project also requires a basic understanding of electricity and electrical safety, so any experience related to electrical engineering is an advantage. We are committed to supporting your development as an employer and will provide the supplementary training and qualifications you need for the role.
We work on international projects in close cooperation with several stakeholders. We therefore expect you to be able to work fluently in both Finnish and English, orally and in writing.
When you start, you will receive a good introduction to Enerquest and the way our projects work. We want to make sure you get off to a good start. At the beginning of the project, a close colleague will provide intensive support, and the whole Enerquest team will offer training and coaching.
Everyday life at Enerquest
Enerquest began with the idea of doing things more intelligently and straightforwardly. Founders Henry and Jussi met at an engineering consultancy and have strong experience in management and supervision on renewable energy sites. Over time, they felt there was another way to do things: in their own way, with a small and committed team. That is how Enerquest began, with a wish to build a workplace where people can focus on what matters, influence their work and do things the Enerquest way: fairly, independently and with quality.
We are a small, close-knit team where everyone can make full use of and develop their expertise, and sharing knowledge in everyday work matters to us. Our team members are approachable and easy-going, making Enerquest a pleasant place to work. We catch up regularly, visit one another and get together several times a year. Work-life balance matters to us, and our team members have a wide range of hobbies and interests.
Our employment benefits include an ePassi benefit worth €540 per year and sickness and accident insurance that also applies during free time. As we grow, we aim to give all employees the opportunity to buy shares in the company and genuinely benefit from achievements we have built together.
Could you be Enerquest’s next team member?
We are recruiting in cooperation with our recruitment partner Notarec. You can express your interest through Notarec’s careers site by 8 November 2026.
In the first stage, Notarec’s Anna-Maija will hold introductory conversations over Teams with candidates who seem suitable. If we feel there is a good match, the next meetings will be with Enerquest’s Henry Haataja and Jussi Jurmu.
