Early Childhood Education Teacher

We are now looking for an Early Childhood Education Teacher for Pilke Hohto, an activity-focused daycare centre in Vantaa’s Kivistö district. The work starts in January 2027. Pilke Hohto is a daycare centre with good transport connections, opened in August 2018. Our focus on physical activity aims to support children’s physical activity in everyday daycare life, strengthen their interest in exercise and an active lifestyle, and teach them to have a healthy and safe relationship with their bodies and surroundings. The atmosphere at daycare centre Hohto is safe, warm and welcoming. We consider it important to give children unhurried, individual attention, listen to them, and offer closeness, affection and happiness. We are genuinely present for the children and for one another. Our educators have a strong sense of community, which is reflected in the children and creates a gentle atmosphere at the daycare centre. It is important to us to create a daily life where children are allowed to express every emotion and feel safe each day. As an Early Childhood Education Teacher, you will support and promote children’s growth, development and learning. You understand the contents of early childhood education plans and know how to put them into practice. You will plan, assess and develop the pedagogical activities of your group and contribute to delivering high-quality pedagogy at your unit. You have a strong pedagogical approach, a positive and active attitude, good interaction skills and the ability to engage genuinely with children.
