Hello, if you are interested in assistant work, join the Onni team and do meaningful, client-oriented work in assistant services in a permanent employment relationship! As a personal assistant, you help our clients live a full life on their own terms. Onni’s clients are people who need help with everyday tasks because of an illness or disability. You assist with household tasks and activities outside the home. Client relationships can vary, and duties are always determined by the client’s wellbeing and individual need for assistance. The work is varied and, if you wish, can include several clients and tasks during the same day. A driving licence and the possibility of using your own car are required to do the work. You do not need education in the field or previous experience. What matters is the right attitude towards assistant work, willingness to learn new things and the ability to work in a client-oriented way in different situations. All our new assistants receive comprehensive induction at Onni’s own Avustaja Academy before starting work, and induction continues during employment as needed. You receive ongoing guidance and support from your team supervisor, and we make sure you are never left alone with questions or possible work-related challenges! The work is mainly performed in two shifts on weekdays and weekends. Shifts last from two hours upwards, and a workday may consist of one or more client relationships. You can influence your shifts and work part-time or on a gig basis, in the way that best suits your circumstances. We take into account both our clients’ assistance needs and our assistants’ work preferences, matching them as well as possible. If needed, the first shift with a client is an orientation shift. After that, both the assistant and the client can assess, among other things, how smoothly the cooperation works and whether their personal chemistry is compatible. If something later concerns you or does not work as planned, we will discuss it together and find a suitable solution for you. If you wish, you can work for several Onni clients when the schedules can be coordinated.
