Communications Intern

The Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences form together Finland’s second-largest multidisciplinary, inspiring and impactful research and learning community. The Communications and Marketing unit at Tampere University seeks two interns for communications tasks. This is a university work placement embedded in bachelor studies for undergraduate students. The role involves contemporary communications duties such as writing and publishing news, articles and press releases in various channels, producing social media content, working with the media service, and other diverse communications tasks. Requirements include that the applicant is enrolled in university studies in communications, marketing or Finnish language, with excellent Finnish language skills and good English. Cooperation skills, initiative, IT skills and customer service-minded approach are required. Prior experience in organizational communications or other communications/marketing or journalism tasks is an advantage. We offer an interesting range of communications tasks as part of the university’s Communications and Marketing unit. The internship is full-time (36 h 15 min per week) for six months. Starting dates for the second internship can be agreed as soon as possible in autumn 2026, with a second internship in spring 2027. Flexible working hours enable a good balance of work and leisure; the workplace is in Tampere. The internship salary is 1,500 euros per month.
