Service Engineer

Do you want to work with some of the world’s leading high-technology turbo compressors and help our customers achieve more energy-efficient and sustainable processes? We are looking for a Service Engineer to strengthen our Kotka team for HST turbo compressors. In this role, you will be a key technical expert, supporting our customers and Sulzer sales companies around the world with HST compressor commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting. You will combine technical expertise with strong customer service. Our customers matter to us, and we aim to serve them with reliable expertise and professionalism. The salary for the position is €4,000–€4,500 per month. The final salary will depend on the selected person’s skills and experience. A company car benefit is available. In this role, you will be responsible for: – Supervising HST turbo compressor installations, commissioning and post-commissioning support – Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving at customer sites and remotely – Organising customer training and providing technical consultation – Working with product development on equipment performance and development needs – Learning about new products and features and providing technical support for them in the market – Selling maintenance and service solutions and preparing quotations – Developing customer relationships and growing the service business – Ensuring safety, quality and environmental requirements are met in all work As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for HST compressor technical support throughout their lifecycle. The work includes customer visits, commissioning, troubleshooting and training, as well as close cooperation with product development, production and Sulzer units internationally. You will work with modern technology and contribute to developing our customers’ processes, particularly in water and wastewater treatment and industrial applications. What we expect from you: – A suitable technical higher-education degree, for example in mechanical, electrical or automation engineering, or equivalent knowledge and skills – Experience in technical specialist, maintenance or commissioning work – A strong understanding of rotating equipment, mechanical systems or process-industry equipment – The ability to solve technical problems systematically and independently – A customer-oriented approach and good interpersonal skills – The confidence to discuss matters with customers and constructively challenge current practices – Fluent Finnish and good English skills – A positive and energetic attitude, problem-solving ability and the courage to find new solutions Success in the role requires willingness to travel and an organised way of working. Travel may need to be arranged at short notice. You can work with different kinds of people and have excellent cooperation skills. Familiarity with SAP and Salesforce is an advantage. You are customer-service oriented and able to work in different conditions. You remain calm under pressure and can prioritise when situations change. Safe working practices come naturally to you. The role involves approximately 80–150 travel days per year, both in Finland and abroad. Your workplace will be in Karhula, Kotka.
