Assortment and Food Service Planning Specialist

We are now looking for you: Assortment and Food Service Planning Specialist Join our team to lead assortment and food service planning for Amica’s school and daycare customer segment and help ensure the commercial and operational success of the business. Under the Amica service concept, we provide high-quality, meaningful dining experiences, including in early childhood education and care homes. Your close-knit team, the Assortment and Recipe Data team, has six specialists working on assortment and recipe data development as well as centralised food service and production planning. The team is part of Amica’s food and service solutions and Compass Group’s commercial function. The work is based at Compass House on Mannerheimintie in Helsinki, in accordance with our remote-work policy. Your manager will be Assortment Manager Tuire Juurikko. Your responsibilities You will plan, maintain and develop the agreed assortments and food services. You will work with stakeholders in procurement, product development, nutrition and business, as well as independently in the ROP system and at your desk. Your work will look to both the present and the future. Your main task is to ensure that the central Amica assortment meets customer needs, works in everyday operations, is commercially competitive and is cost-effective. You will ensure that our sites have a food service offering that supports their targets and enables them to succeed in their business and customer satisfaction. You will also take part in sales tendering and new-site opening processes. Using data and customer and business insight, you will develop your assigned assortments to support competitiveness, customer satisfaction and growth. What you bring to our team To succeed, you need a strong understanding of the professional kitchen environment and of how to combine quality, cost-effectiveness, customer satisfaction and business objectives in practical assortment and production planning. We require experience and understanding of public food service operations, as well as experience developing assortments, food services or production planning. Understanding public procurement and tendering, including bid processes, will help you take on the full scope of the role. You should also have above-average IT skills and experience with projects and working with different stakeholders. You work analytically and accurately, while remaining flexible and adaptable to fast-moving situations and matters that are still taking shape. You have excellent communication and collaboration skills. You are ambitious about developing the business, recognise where you can make a difference and take action.
