We are currently seeking an independent and experienced maintenance professional to be responsible for the maintenance of machines and equipment at two machine shops in Karvia and Tampere. In this role, you will be a key person ensuring that production runs smoothly without unnecessary downtime – and that machines remain in good condition for the future. Konepaja Tremec Oy and Alvarin Metalli Oy form a versatile machine shop entity combining modern machining, welded steel construction, and strong practical expertise. We operate extensively in subcontracting within the metal industry and produce demanding components and assemblies for our customers in Finland and internationally. Job Tasks - Repair and maintenance of machines and equipment - Planning, scheduling, and documenting maintenance - Maintaining and developing maintenance systems and plans - Managing spare parts and maintenance supplies - Coordinating external maintenance and installation partners as needed - Supporting production in technical problem situations Equipment in use Machining - Lathes (horizontal and carousel lathes) - Machining centers - Drilling and long milling machines Welding - Welding robots - Manual welding equipment Other production equipment - Shearing presses - Bridge cranes and other lifting devices - Forklifts - Other machine shop production equipment Requirements - Experience in industrial maintenance, repair, and servicing tasks - Good understanding of machine and equipment operation - Strong mechanical maintenance skills - Ability to work independently and take responsibility - Problem-solving skills and initiative - Suitable technical education (e.g., maintenance, mechanical, or automation engineering) Preferred qualifications - Electrical and automation skills - Experience in CNC machine maintenance - Welding skills - Experience with crane and forklift maintenance - Experience in developing and documenting maintenance processes We offer - An independent and versatile role - Opportunity to influence maintenance practices and development - Stable working environment in the machine shop industry - Competitive salary based on skills The successful candidate in this role is a practical person who enjoys solving problems and wants to keep production machines operational.
