Service Guidance Job Coach

We are looking for a full-time Service Guidance Job Coach at Kiipula Vocational College, Tampere campus (Sumeliuksenkatu). The role is a fixed-term position from 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Dec 2028. Kiipula is a vocational special education institution that provides small-group instruction in preparatory and vocational education. The objective is to support students in discovering their strengths and building pathways into working life. As a Service Guidance Job Coach you will work with the Tampere-area teaching teams and basic-degree students, promoting work-oriented pedagogy and students’ employability. Your duties include: guiding students towards employment with purposeful goals; mapping and informing about suitable employment supports and services for students who require strong specialized assistance; supporting teaching teams in utilizing employment-support services; organizing work-based learning; developing and strengthening cooperation with the world of work; helping students find and apply for placements; participating in guidance and HOKS seminars when needed. Work takes place both in the school and in various work-based learning environments. We value a proactive and independent work approach, good collaboration and communication skills, the ability to operate in diverse learning environments and changing situations, and a genuine interest in supporting students’ employability. Qualifications that support success in the role include: suitable training (e.g., specialized qualification in rehabilitation, support and guidance); experience in similar guidance or coaching roles; experience with guiding special groups; knowledge of employment guidance; familiarity with Pirkanmaa regional service networks and the labor market. The average weekly hours are 38.25; we use a flex-time system so weekly hours may vary. Salary is determined according to the private education sector collective agreement: VR 4 (2319.19 €/month) plus possible experience increments (up to 16% of base salary). The position has a probationary period. There is a period in the contract regarding school holidays; the selected person must provide a criminal record extract relating to working with children before starting.
