Our successful and growing client company is strengthening its team with a Test Lead, who will have a central role in the core-system renewal. The renewal increases the need for testing, and your job is to ensure testing keeps pace by making use of automation and artificial intelligence. We are looking for a hands-on person who is not content to lead testing from a spreadsheet, but gets involved, develops test automation and finds new ways to use AI in testing. You will be responsible for ensuring that testing runs smoothly from start to finish and that cooperation between different functions works well. You will take care of the overall picture and ensure that matters falling outside the perspectives of individual owners are also considered. You will start by working on the core-system renewal, but later you will also be responsible for developing our client company’s testing practices and guiding internal and external resources. In this role, you will work closely with process owners, development teams, suppliers, the Delivery & Release Lead, and the infrastructure and data & analytics teams. You lead by example. You guide internal and external contributors, but do not delegate testing away. You show how it is done—and how it can be done more intelligently than before. You are the person we are looking for if you have: - Strong hands-on experience in software testing, especially test automation - Insight and preferably evidence of how artificial intelligence is changing testing, and a willingness to experiment ahead of others - Experience guiding testers and testing partners and developing testing practices across team boundaries - An understanding of integrations, interfaces and test environments - The ability to define test data and an understanding of the related data-protection requirements - A good command of agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) - The courage to speak up when something is not yet ready for release Experience with core-system renewals, the insurance or finance sector, or testing SaaS platforms is considered an advantage.
