Read more: metsagroup.com/metsaforall. This recruitment is anonymous. Metsä Forest is looking for TWO FOREST SPECIALISTS, GENERATIONAL TRANSFERS for permanent employment. What will the work involve? As a forest specialist in generational transfers, you will be responsible for expert work related to generational transfers of our owner-members’ forest estates. The geographical focus areas are customers in the Vaasa, Seinäjoki, Viitasaari and Jyväskylä districts, the Lohja and Lahti districts, and the Joensuu and Lappeenranta districts. Final areas of responsibility and work locations will be agreed with the selected candidates, taking into account an appropriate overall division of work. You will lead the customer process as a whole: map the goals of the different parties involved in the generational transfer, identify suitable ways forward and ensure the process progresses systematically. You will consider forest assets as part of the customer’s broader ownership and help build a solution that supports the goals of both the current and future forest owner. You will work closely with Metsä Group’s specialists and external partners. You will also add value to customer relationships through your expertise, strengthen long-term relationships with owner-members and promote the controlled transfer of forest assets to the next generations. What do we expect from you? We require an education suitable for the role and the ability to work independently in a responsible expert position. Success requires good interaction and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to meet different customers naturally and build trust while taking their individual situations into account. Generational transfers are important decisions for customers and are often personal. The role therefore calls for an ability to understand broad issues, listen to customers’ needs and goals, and move processes forward systematically and on your own initiative. We value a solution-oriented approach, good organisational skills and accuracy in handling details and documents. The role combines expert, service and sales work. We expect you to take an active, goal-oriented and results-focused approach to customer work, and to want to build and develop customer relationships. You can identify customer needs, offer suitable solutions and bring agreed matters to a successful conclusion. Knowledge of forestry and forest ownership provides a good foundation for success. An LKV qualification, successful experience handling generational transfers of forest estates or other ownership transfers, knowledge of forest taxation and Swedish language skills are considered advantages. The role requires excellent spoken and written Finnish. The work involves travelling across a broad operating area and meeting customers, so willingness to travel and a valid driving licence are essential. A new-era career at Metsä Group Secure sustainable growth – find your path to becoming a professional in regenerative forestry.
