Employment Lawyer

Do you want to play a central role in ensuring responsible personnel solutions and supporting the business on employment-law matters? We are looking for an experienced and development-oriented employment lawyer for Elisa’s Finnish HR team on a permanent contract. What will your duties include? In this independent and influential role, you will be a member of the HR leadership team and a trusted employment-law expert supporting the business, managers and HR. You will work on diverse and demanding personnel matters and develop operating practices in a changing environment. As an employment lawyer, you will have broad responsibility for employment-law questions and their practical implementation. Your duties include, among other things: - Advising the business, managers and HR on employment-law matters. - Supporting the planning and implementation of organisational changes, business arrangements, change negotiations and demanding personnel situations. - Coordinating dialogue under the Act on Co-operation and supporting the work of the European Works Council (EWC). - Drafting and reviewing employment-related agreements, instructions, decisions and other legal documents. - Participating in local bargaining, interpreting collective agreements and labour-market activities. - Monitoring employment legislation and case law and putting changes into practical operating procedures together with other experts. - Training managers and HR professionals and preparing clear guidance on employment-law topics. - Handling and coordinating international employment-law matters in cooperation with HR teams in different countries, the business and external experts. - Cooperating with employee representatives, employer organisations, external advisers and other stakeholders. - Continuously developing employment-related processes, services and tools. What do we expect from you? We hope you have: - An advanced law degree. - At least 7 years of experience in employment lawyer roles. - Experience in an in-house employment lawyer role. - Experience with international employment-law matters and cooperation with stakeholders in different countries. - Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English. - Experience with change negotiations, transfers of business and resolving demanding personnel situations. - The ability to work independently and build effective cooperation with different stakeholders. We also value experience in labour-market activities and collective-agreement negotiations.
