Alarm Centre Operator

We are looking for alarm centre operators for CERTEGO 24/7 in our Jyväskylä and Kokkola units, on a 0–40 hours per week contract. Would you be our new alarm centre operator? In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in an interesting and varied alarm centre position, using modern security and property technology, including video surveillance, as well as remote-control and on-call services. Your day in our alarm centre may include receiving security and property-technology alarms (burglary, fire, technical and personal-safety alarms), assessing the seriousness of alarms and the appropriate response, calling out a security guard, an authority (police, rescue services) or property maintenance, monitoring camera systems and technical security systems, recording events in the systems and creating reports. The work is shift work, and shifts are usually 8–12 hours at the alarm centre. To ensure a good induction, shifts are shorter at first and work takes place on weekdays. As you gain experience, you will also be trained for weekend and night shifts. We require our new CERTEGO colleague to have a security guard card, basic IT skills and good Finnish and English skills. Swedish is an advantage in this role. Customer service is the main focus of the work, so good interaction skills, a flexible and solution-oriented approach, and the ability to work under pressure are important in rapidly changing situations. Familiarity with building automation and previous experience working in an alarm centre are also considered advantages.
