Automation & OT Network Specialist

In this full-time role you will play a central part in designing the telecommunications and OT networks for the energy and automation environments, collaborating with lead and systems designers. You will support across business units and work closely on projects from bid to implementation and maintenance. The position is full-time and starts as soon as possible. Your workstation can be in Vaasa, Oulu, or Seinäjoki, with occasional travel days. You will work closely with IT, design, commissioning and maintenance experts and contribute to the development of OT networks, monitoring solutions and cyber security. Responsibilities include designing and specifying telecommunications and OT networks for energy and automation environments (e.g., signaling lists, diagrams, topologies, and equipment solutions); planning IP, LAN, VPN and firewall solutions with a focus on security, reliability and maintainability; supporting the design and deployment of control-room, remote access and cloud connectivity solutions with security and reliability requirements; planning and ensuring deployments, including system testing, troubleshooting and post-go-live technical support; collaborating with customers, suppliers and stakeholders across project stages. Requirements include strong experience with industrial, energy and automation networks and their design; understanding of power engineering and substations and related automation systems; ability to develop, deploy and maintain cloud-based monitoring solutions; comprehensive understanding of OT networks from device level to DMZ; knowledge of communication protocols such as TCP/IP, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, OPC UA and Modbus TCP; experience with firewall, VPN and remote access solutions; proactive, solution-focused mindset and good collaboration and communication skills; fluency in Finnish and English.
