Korvenkoti provides around-the-clock supported accommodation for 12 adults with developmental disabilities in a home-like setting. Our work centers on supporting the resident’s privacy, autonomy, and participation, and strengthening functioning in daily life. The living facility includes guidance tailored to the resident’s needs, basic care, and support at all times of the day. In addition to timely care and safe medication administration, your role includes guiding daily activities, documenting in client and patient record systems, supporting leisure activities, planning and organizing residents’ participation, and collaborating with the resident’s network of relatives. Korvenkoti makes meals on site, so you should be able to handle a cooking pot. Domestic tasks are done with residents. As a lead supervisor you will be responsible for the smooth everyday running of Korvenkoti and will work in cooperation with a supervisor. Responsibilities are shared across staff. What kind of skills and experience do we expect? You have at least a social and health care basic degree and are registered in the Professional Register with the Authority (e.g. practical nurse). You have completed a sanitation certificate and LOVe medication administration online test. If needed you can complete LOVe medication administration online tests at the start of employment. We hope you have experience with challenging clients, planning their daily structure, using alternative communication methods, and you have completed the AHHA training. In the role you will succeed with an autonomous working style, ability to manage the whole picture, courage to move things forward, and perseverance and stress tolerance. You also need experience with structured documentation and ability to manage different client data applications (OMNI 365 and Saga) as well as shift planning applications (Titania, Nepton and Numeron). The start date in a permanent contract will be agreed. A six-month probationary period applies. The position is full-time, about 38 hours 15 minutes per week. Shifts are primarily daytime weekdays where possible. The selected candidate must have vaccination protection in accordance with the Infectious Diseases Act (1227/2016) §48. Before starting the job, the candidate must provide a criminal record extract in accordance with the Criminal Records Act §6(4).
